The YieldMax Target 12 Real Estate Option Income ETF (RNTY) is an actively managed exchange-traded fund designed to provide investors with a targeted annual distribution of 12% along with opportunities for capital growth. It achieves this by constructing a concentrated portfolio of 15 to 30 companies operating within the real estate sector. A core strategy for income generation involves the systematic selling of call options and call spreads against the fund's equity holdings. Beyond generating income from options, RNTY also aims for capital appreciation through its direct investments in these underlying stocks. The fund's adviser diligently evaluates potential investments, taking into account the liquidity of both the stocks and their associated options, current price levels, and implied volatility. This active oversight includes frequent portfolio reviews to determine appropriate adjustments, such as adding or removing positions.
Distribution yield and SEC yield use different methodologies. Payouts may include income, capital gains, or return of capital.
