The F/M Emerald Life Sciences Innovation ETF (LFSC) strategically invests in pioneering life science enterprises. Its core objective is to identify companies that are well-positioned for substantial long-term growth and the creation of significant value. As an actively managed fund, LFSC benefits from a highly specialized and experienced team dedicated to conducting in-depth research into complex life sciences firms. The fund primarily targets U.S. equity securities, selecting those that demonstrate strong growth potential. Specific criteria for inclusion involve a company's leadership in technological advancement, its capacity for market disruption, or its innovative application of artificial intelligence. The expansive field of life sciences, as defined by the fund, encompasses various sectors including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical diagnostics and devices, healthcare services and technologies, and synthetic biology. Stock selection is guided by a rigorous and extensive 10-step research framework. This meticulous process incorporates: Reviews of publicly accessible and external third-party information. Comprehensive peer reviews. Development of detailed financial and valuation models. In-house research and surveys. Direct engagement and interviews with company management, industry and medical experts, and supply chain representatives. Robust internal collaboration among the investment team. While its primary focus is on domestic equities, the fund retains the flexibility to allocate up to 20% of its capital to foreign companies, provided they are listed and traded on a U.S. exchange.
