The Keeley Dividend ETF (KDVD) aims to generate overall returns by focusing its investments primarily on U.S. small and mid-sized companies that either currently distribute dividends or are projected to initiate such payouts. The fund's strategy covers a broad spectrum of dividend-focused opportunities, including mature businesses known for their high yields, firms demonstrating consistent dividend growth, and companies expected to begin paying dividends or returning capital through share buybacks. To identify investment opportunities, KDVD utilizes in-depth fundamental research, leveraging a dedicated team of sector analysts to uncover stocks trading below their true intrinsic value. This rigorous analysis involves scrutinizing various factors, such as earnings expectations, the sustainability of dividends, the strength of the balance sheet, the competence of management, and any potential catalysts that could unlock additional value. While the fund generally maintains a long-term investment horizon, typically holding securities for more than a year, it reserves the right to sell positions if the underlying business fundamentals weaken, a holding becomes excessively concentrated in the portfolio, or more attractive investment prospects become available.
Distribution yield and SEC yield use different methodologies. Payouts may include income, capital gains, or return of capital.
