Its primary investment focus is on high-quality, U.S. dollar-denominated debt instruments, typically maintaining an average portfolio duration of less than one year. The fund's diverse holdings encompass short-term U.S. Treasury and government-related securities, investment-grade corporate bonds, asset-backed securities (ABS), agency and non-agency mortgage-backed securities (MBS), and various other ultra-short-term debt instruments. The fund's managers at DoubleLine utilize a sophisticated approach, combining broad macroeconomic insights with meticulous individual security analysis to effectively mitigate interest rate, credit, and liquidity risks.
