This exchange-traded fund (ETF) constructs a foundational bond portfolio through a staggered maturity, or laddered, approach. It primarily allocates to high-quality debt instruments, encompassing corporate bonds, government obligations, and various securitized products. This systematic staggering of maturities not only facilitates regular opportunities for reinvestment but also provides the agility to modify the portfolio's interest rate sensitivity (duration) and industry allocations in response to prevailing interest rate environments and shifts in the yield curve. When selecting securities, the emphasis is on issuers demonstrating robust financial health, dependable cash generation, and sustained creditworthiness. Concurrently, a values-driven screening process ensures that investments align with specific ethical principles. The resulting portfolio typically comprises a concentrated group of issuers, which are subjected to continuous oversight to confirm adherence to both financial performance and ethical mandates. Furthermore, the investment strategy allows for the inclusion of mortgage-backed and asset-backed securities, with managers proactively adjusting holdings as market conditions evolve.
Distribution yield and SEC yield use different methodologies. Payouts may include income, capital gains, or return of capital.
