BCOM provides exposure to a broad basket of commodity futures rather than directly holding physical commodities or tracking their spot prices. The index weights contracts using trading liquidity and US dollar-weighted production data, subject to diversification rules intended to limit excessive concentration in individual commodities or sectors. Futures contracts are rolled into later maturities as they approach expiration, so returns reflect changes in futures prices and roll yield, which can be positive or negative depending on market conditions such as contango and backwardation. The Fund gains commodity exposure primarily through futures and other commodity-linked instruments held by a wholly owned Cayman Islands subsidiary, while investing its remaining assets in short-term investment-grade fixed income securities, cash and cash equivalents. These collateral assets may generate interest income, which contributes to the Funds total return alongside commodity futures performance.
Distribution yield and SEC yield use different methodologies. Payouts may include income, capital gains, or return of capital.
Verified payout history is unavailable.
Estimated annual expense excludes trading costs and assumes constant assets. Fee waivers and fund costs can change.
Historical risk measures describe past behavior and do not predict future returns.
